General Health and Safety Training for Workers of all companies (RIF. 500)

Target Audience

This module is mandatory for all workers, regardless of company’s risk classification, as required by Article 37, paragraph 1, letter a) of Legislative Decree 81/08 and by the State-Regions Agreement dated April 17, 2025. The course provides essential basic training on workplace health and safety, covering key concepts such as risk, hazard, injury, occupational disease, prevention and protection; outlines the structure of workplace’s Health and Safety Prevention and Protection Service, the rights and responsibilities of employees, the applicable sanctions and the role of occupational and safety supervisory authorities.

Requirements:

  • Adequate proficiency in Italian (for Italian-language courses)
  • Adequate proficiency in English (for English-language courses)
  • Attendance of at least 90% of the total course hours
  • Stable internet connection (for online courses via videoconference)
  • Maximum of 30 participants per session

Learning Objectives:

The course aims to equip workers with the fundamental knowledge necessary to understand workplace health and safety. Participants will explore the concepts of risk, harm, prevention, and protection, will gain insights into the company’s health and safety prevention and protection service, will understand the rights and duties of all involved parties and the functions of occupational and safety supervisory authorities.

Course Structure:

The course consists of a single, 4-hour “general” training module.

Teaching Methodology:

The course adopts a highly interactive teaching approach designed to engage participants actively, stimulate discussion, and leverage real-life work experiences through case studies. It is conducted by qualified instructors with expertise in occupational health and safety, all meeting the requirements set by D.M. 06/03/2013 and accredited by Federsicurezza Italia and/or OPN EFEI Italia. This training provides a solid, authoritative, and engaging learning experience, ideal for those wishing to acquire immediately applicable, hands-on skills in the workplace.

Training Materials:

At the end of the course, participants will receive digital copies of all materials used by the trainers, including valuable content to deepen and consolidate the skills acquired. These materials will provide practical tools that can be directly applied in the participants’ professional activities.

The training content complies with the provisions of letters a) and b) of paragraph 1, and paragraph 3 of Article 37 of Legislative Decree 81/08.

MODULE 1 – GENERAL TRAINING

  • Key concepts of risk, hazard, prevention and protection
  • Structure and organization of workplace health and safety prevention and protection service
  • Tasks, responsibilities, and sanctions for company’s stakeholders involved in occupational health and safety
  • Supervisory, inspection, and support authorities

Test Assessment:

To verify learning outcomes, each participant will take a multiple-choice test at the end of the course. A score of at least 70% is required to pass, ensuring the participant has acquired practical and applicable knowledge.

Certification:

Upon successfully passing the final assessment, participants will receive a nationally recognized certificate via email, complete with a Unique Authentication Code. This certificate confirms the company’s compliance with legal training requirements, enhances workplace safety, and protects the employer from penalties for failing to meet mandatory worker’s training obligations.
